Emily Daiker is the daughter of Donavon and Tina Daiker and is in tenth grade. At school she is involved with volleyball, basketball, softball and is on the A Honor Roll. When she's not at school, Emily enjoys playing the piano, writing, listening to music, fishing, reading and spending time with friends.
She says she's always loved art and it has been a kind of escape for her. When Emily is having a bad day, she knows she can turn to hart. She's also won awards at the Crow Wing County Fair for her art! When asked about which artwork she is most proud of, Emily couldn't pinpoint just one, because they express something about her. Much of her inspiration comes from other artists but also expressing feelings, things she enjoys, creating art that's simple but with a deeper meaning. The artwork shown below was from the Artists Steal unit. Emily found inspiration in Banksy's Girl with a Balloon artwork. |
