Katie Mattison is a junior in Painting class. Her parents are Amy Mattison and Rick Mattison. At school she is involved with Spanish Club and Book Club. Outside of school she enjoys drawing, painting, reading, going to youth group and she works at Walmart. Katie says she's always been good at drawing but only started to get really interested since sizth grade. Her favorite medium is Prismacolor Premier Colored Pencils but also likes working with acrylic paints because of the bright color. Katie finds inspiration in many places - friends, family, ideas from her art teacher and on Pinterest. An artwork she is most proud of is a drawing she worked on over the summer called "Girl on Fire." It is a portrait of a girl with red-brown hair. Draw on, Katie! |
